What is processed when you visit

Serving a web page requires your browser to send a request, and the server that answers it records that request. Our hosting provider logs the usual technical data: IP address, the page requested, the time, the browser's user agent string and referring page. This happens for every website you visit and cannot be switched off without switching off the site.

The purpose is narrow: delivering the page you asked for, and defending the site against attacks and abuse.

We do not receive these logs. They are processed by the hosting provider. What reaches us is aggregate traffic counts — how many requests a page got, from which countries — which do not identify anyone.

Recipients

Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA hosts this site and processes the server logs described above.

Data is therefore disclosed to the United States. Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the Swiss Federal Council has recognised as providing adequate protection (Art. 16 para. 1 of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, in conjunction with Annex 1 of the Data Protection Ordinance). No further safeguards are required for this transfer.

If you write to us by email, your message is processed by our mail provider Hostpoint AG in Switzerland.

What happens when you click a link out

Links on this site lead to vendors' own websites. The moment you click, you are on their site, and their privacy policy applies — including any cookies or tracking they use. Some of those links carry a referral parameter that tells the vendor the visit came from here, so that a commission can be attributed. We do not receive your name, your email address or your order details from any vendor — only aggregate counts of how many referrals converted.

What we do not do

Your rights

Under Swiss data protection law you may ask whether we process personal data about you and request access to it, and you may ask for correction or deletion. Write to kontakt@dali-ai.ch. Requests are answered free of charge, as a rule within 30 days.

In practice we hold no data that would let us identify you from a visit, so an access request about your browsing of this site will usually be answered by saying exactly that.

You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern.

Changes

If this site ever starts using analytics or any other form of measurement, this page will say so before it happens, not after.
